The average daily trading volume involving foreign securities in June increased by 27.9% from May to USD 1.71 billion. Traders made 33.59 million transactions in main trading sessions in June.

As of June 30, 12.2 million client accounts had been admitted to trading on SPB Exchange, an increase of 6.2% from a month earlier (11.49 million in May). The number of unique customers amounted to 8.3 million, 5.6% more than in May.
Trades were executed in June involving 1,554 shares and depositary receipts of foreign issuers as well as 32 Eurobonds. The value of transactions in main trading involving Eurobonds in August amounted to USD 3.9 million.
The leading foreign securities in terms of trading volume in main trading sessions were the shares and depositary receipts of the following issuers: Virgin Galactic (SPB: SPCE, 24.28%** of the total trading volume in June), Tesla (SPB: TSLA, 5.32%), TAL Education (SPB: TAL, 3.6%), VipShop (SPB: VIPS, 2.53%), Apple (SPB: AAPL, 2.24%), ContextLogic (SPB: WISH, 2.23%), Alibaba (SPB: BABA, 2.11%), Clover Health Investments (SPB: CLOV, 1.93%), Moderna (SPB: MRNA, 1.72%), Biogen (SPB: BIIB, 1.56%).
The top 10 shares and depositary receipts of foreign issuers in investor portfolios in monetary terms as a percentage of the total volume at the end of June (average portfolio) were Alibaba (SPB: BABA, 6.12%), Virgin Galactic (SPB: SPCE, 4.13 %), Tesla (SPB: TSLA, 4.01%), Apple (SPB: AAPL, 3.52%), Freedom Holding (SPB: FRHC, 2.72%), Amazon (SPB: AMZN, 1.93%), Vipshop (SPB: VIPS, 1.82%), Boeing (SPB: BA, 1.77%), Baidu (SPB: BIDU, 1.59%), Microsoft (SPB: MSFT, 1.31%).
The share of trading volume in securities from the list of indices*** approved by the Bank of Russia in the total trading volume (in main trading sessions) in June amounted to 37.36%.
In August, 18.64% of the monthly trading volume took place between 10:00 and 16:30 Moscow time, while 2.05% of monthly trading took place between 7:00 and 10:00 Moscow time.
The five leading traders in terms of trading volume in June (in main trading sessions) were Tinkoff Bank, VTB Bank (PJSC), AO Alfa Bank, BCS Ltd. and IC Finam JSC.

On June 1st, trading of shares of 43 foreign issuers with a listing in the United States started on SPB Exchange. During June, organized trading of securities of 18 foreign issuers also began: Organon & Co. (OGN), Garrett Motion Inc. (GTX), STERIS plc (STE), CRISPR Therapeutics AG (CRSP), Sunrun Inc. (RUN), Unity Software Inc. (U), Marqeta, Inc. (MQ), Shoals Technologies Group, Inc. (SHLS), Qualtrics International Inc. (XM), AppLovin Corporation (APP), UiPath, Inc. (PATH), TuSimple Holdings Inc. (TSP), depositary receipts for the shares of Just Eat Takeaway.com N.V. (GRUB), Doximity, Inc. (DOCS), SentinelOne, Inc. (S), Paymentus Holdings, Inc. (PAY), Procore Technologies, Inc. On June 4th, the Qatar Stock Exchange and SPB Exchange signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at developing comprehensive partnerships and interaction between the exchanges.
On June 4th, Sovcombank and SPB Exchange signed an agreement on joint work on the formation of a segment of green and social bonds at SPB Exchange, trading in low-carbon energy certificates, trading quotas for greenhouse gas emissions, as well as trading certificates confirming the neutralization of greenhouse gas emissions.
On June 24th, SPB Exchange and Roman Goryunov, President of the NP RTS Association, received a nomination in the Stock Market Elite 2020 competition held by the National Association of Stock Market Participants (NAUFOR). The SPB Exchange became the winner in the "Project for the Development of the National Stock Market" category for “the localization of trading of foreign securities on the Russian financial market”. Roman Goryunov, President of the NP RTS Association, the main shareholder of SPB Exchange, became the winner in the “CEO of the Year” category.
